Fabric Requirements: Prints: 1-16 different prints, scraps (8 used in photo) Background fabric: 1/8 yd Sashing fabric: 1/8 yd Note: Background and sashing fabrics could be the same fabric.

Pillow backing: fat quarter

Cutting Directions for block: From the print fabrics: Cut 16 squares 2 1/2" of as many different fabrics as you'd like.

Background: Cut 4 squares 2 1/2” Cut 8 squares 2 7/8" and cut on one diagonal Cut 4 squares 3 1/4" and cut on both diagonals

Sashing: Cut a strip 2” x half width of fabric and a strip 2 1/2” x half width of fabric

Block and Quilt Assembly: 1. Sew a background 2 1/2” square between 2 print squares. Press. Sew a triangle from a background 3 1/4” square to both ends of this unit.

2. Sew a print square between two triangles from a 2 7/8” square. Sew a background triangle from a 3 1/4” square to one side of the unit.

3. Sew a print square between two triangles from a 2 7/8” square. Sew a background triangle from a 3 1/4” square to one side of the unit.

Sew these two units to opposing sides of the unit created in step 1.

Repeat to create 4 units like this.

Measure the size of your block and cut that length from the 2” strip of sashing fabric. Sew it between two units from step 4. Repeat to create another unit just like this.

Sew another 2 1/2” strip between the 2 units from step 5.

Layer the top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired. Cut a square for the back of your pillow that measures the same as your quilted pillow front. Complete your pillow cover as desired and stuff with a 14” pillow form.
