2. Finger press the strips as you sew each round. After all four strips in a round are stitched, press seams with an iron before trimming with the Pineapple Trim Tool.

Sewing Tips 1. Sew all seams with a scant ¼" seam allowance. Seam allowances are always pressed toward the outside edge of the block. To complete a round sew a strip to each side of the center square. Sew strips to opposite sides of the square or in a clockwise rotation.
Round #3 (angle) – Position the 45° angle line parallel with the outside edge of the ruler on the stitched seam line of strip #2. (The 3 angled lines perpendicular to the angled edge of the ruler are additional guides to help position the ruler for all angled cuts.*) Trimming 1 side at a time, trim all 4 sides. *Note: The white marked center square lines up only for the first angled cut. This square will not line up on subsequent angled cuts. 1/4" Seam Allowance
Rabbit Ear Corners Each size block is squared off with corner triangles (after the final round of strips has been added). Size of cut squares are as follows: 4" blocks - Cut 2" squares. 5" blocks - Cut 2½" squares. 6" blocks - Cut 3" squares, recut each square on the diagonal for the perfect corner.

Strips Cut the strips for rounds at least 1¼" x width of fabric (WOF). If you prefer to cut your strips to size for each round, measurements are as follows: Round 1 – 1½" Round 6 – 3" Round 2 – 2" Round 7 – 3¼" Round 3 – 2½" Round 8 – 3½" Round 4 – 2¾" Round 9 – 3¾" Round 5 – 2¾" Round 10 – 3¾"

Getting Started The tool has corners on three sides and a 45° on one side. Centering squares and diagonal lines help with lining up the tool when trimming each round of strips.
