A tribute to Django Rheinhart’s “Nuages,” one of Jay’s favorite gypsy jazz tunes.
A distinctive, single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc that is sourced from the Croft Vineyard, an excellent, organically farmed site in the Willamette Valley AVA.
A specialty at J. Christopher. Made in the clean, fresh style of France’s Loire Valley — cool-fermented in stainless steel with no malolactic fermentation.
• Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir, “Lumière” From two vineyards in the Walnut Hill area, at the northern end of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA.
The original collaboration wine from J. Christopher & Dr. Loosen • Appassionata Pinot Noir The first wine to come from the collaboration of Ernst Loosen (Dr. Loosen) and Jay Somers (J. Christopher Wines). It is not released until Jay and Ernst feel the wine is ready to drink. The current release is the 2007 vintage, a blend of Bella Vida and Abbey Ridge vineyards, in the Dundee Hills AVA. When the Appassionata home vineyard is fully established, we expect that it will become the primary fruit source for this wine.

• Über-Sauvignon, Croft Vineyard A unique style of Sauvignon Blanc, fermented and aged in 500-liter acacia wood barrels to give it a fuller texture on the palate, without any oakiness.
• Pinot Noir, Sandra Adele Named for Jay’s mother, Sandy. Typically a blend of fruit from two outstanding vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA: Abbey Ridge and Charlie’s Vineyard.
• Pinot Noir, Olenik vineyard Weighty, big-boned Pinot from a neighboring vineyard on Chehalem Mountain. Sedimentary soil.
• Pinot Noir, Lia’s vineyard Elegant Pinot from another neighbor vineyard on Chehalem Mountain. It is a superb site, directly adjacent to the Olenik vineyard, but with volcanic soil.
