Vacuum Generator VU, VUM, VB, VM, VC, VH, VS, VY Characteristics The Vacuum Generator, creating vacuum by use of compressed air, can be used in combination with a Vacuum Pad to convey materials. Vacuum Generator comes in a variety of performances and types to meet your applications.
−S3 Specification The model made with "No Copper Alloy" and for "Low-level Ozone Resistance (equipped with HNBR seal)" is available in VH, VS, VU, and VC type genetators. Corresponding to applications in clean environment, the model is only available with tube exhaust to dispose waste air outside.
VY Type Emphasize cost performance compared to conventional vacuum generator with solenoid valve. When the supply air to the ejector is stopped, blow-off flow is generated at the same time, ensuring work release. Compared to conventional stand alone type ejector, high cycle is realized by loading shut-off valve. Small size and lightweight makes it possible to mount this ejector at the end of vacuum circuit. Blow-off mechanism is incorporated to Ejector. By turning on and off the supply air to the unit, changeover from vacuum generation to air release can be done.
VUM Type Super small-sized vacuum generator with the outer diameter of ø8.5mm. The nozzle diameter comes in three sizes: ø0.3, ø0.4, ø0.5mm. Mounted directly on the small pad holder. By adopting M3 and M5 screws to be used on the vacuum port, this series can be directly mounted on the small pad holder (VPMB). By combining with the dedicated fixing holder (VUK04, optional), the installation and removal can be made much easier. The small-sized vacuum generator is provided in open to air type only.
VC & VM Type New line-up of smaller diameter sizes: ø0.3 and ø0.4mm. Serving to the needs of lower-air consumption.

Warnings : 1. For the VC type with M5×0.8, piping orientation can not be changed after installation of the body. 2. Be sure to read this instruction for piping method of VY Vacuum Generator. Mistaken piping may cause injuries to human bodies and damage to equipments. 3. Resin body of lter of VY is made of PP. Material deterioration will be occurring when exposed to direct sunlight or ultra-violet rays. 4. Please do not apply load in the direction of pulling the generator VU and VUM. The tension loading causes breakup of the generator. 5. Please avoid increasing unnecessary inner pressure for VU and VUM. Metal part may come away from resin unit. Cautions : 1. Be sure to read and understand on ow adjusting of blow-off air and blowoff time adjusting for VY. 2. The lter element of VY type cannot be replaced alone, so please change whole lter unit on maintenance. 3. When applying different pressure level for vacuum generation and blowoff for VY, keep the blow-off pressure level under the level of vacuum generation. If the blow-off pressure level is higher than the level of vacuum generation, it may cause air leakage. 4. Connect P port and PD port with Check valve (separate purchase) and use residual pressure in between PD port and Check valve as blow-off air. Adjust blow-off airow by ow adjusting needle. Blow-off time can be adjusted by the tube length between Check valve and PD port.

Instant release of work piece can be done by adjusting blow-off air pressure and ow. However, the work piece might be blow away by blow-off air. When the blow-off airow is required to be low pressure (above diagram), different pressure level should be used for vacuum generation and vacuum blow-off. ( It must be : Supply pressure for vacuum generation ≧ Supply pressure for vacuum release ). Adjust blow-off airow by ow adjusting needle. Release time can be adjusted by solenoid valve for blow-off or equivalent.
