What is TOPSoccer? “TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for players with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability.” - U.S. YOUTH SOCCER

Registering for Eastside Timbers TOPSoccer Every parent or guardian must register their child with Eastside Timbers in order to participate. A yearly registration fee of $15.00 is for mandatory insurance. This is the only costs associated with the program. All participants must fill out: 1. Registration Form 2. Communication Form 3. Parents need to provide transportation to and from all sessions, ensuring that the player is prompt not only in arriving – but also in departure. A parent or guardian must stay on premise at all times. Please ensure that your child is dressed and brings appropriate equipment to all sessions.

1. Your child will develop a sense of belonging to a community and will learn the value of being part of a team.

Grizzly Bears: Designed for the older players that need minimal direction on the pitch. This session runs from 6:30pm-7:30pm. The Honey Bear session offers a one-on-one Buddy system. Fall Session: 8-week session every Monday nights usually starting the second week in September. Spring Session: 8-week session every Monday nights starts March 28-May 16, 2016. Summer Camp: Last week in June, MondayThursday, 9-10:30am.

Volunteers Commitment TOPSoccer Buddies are an integral part of the TOPSoccer program. Volunteers are asked to join us on the soccer pitch to assist players in various activities. During the Honey Bear session, volunteers are paired up with players for one-on-one assistance to help that player be successful during their hour on the pitch. Some volunteers stay during the Grizzly Bear session to help with any player that needs extra help. The ratio is about 4:1 when needed.
