The Independent Recreational Soccer Program Town of Webster Registration for 2018 Fall Season *********************************** • • • • • • • •
The Independent recreational soccer program is open to children in grades Pre-K through 12th who live in the Merrimack Valley School district. The program starts in August and runs through the end of October. The Pre-K/Kindergarten program is co-ed and has one practice per week and a short season scrimmage schedule to help prepare for the MVIL Soccer Festival in October. This level gives the children a chance to experience soccer and have fun. Parents are encouraged to participate. First and second graders play together in an instructional program with one practice per week. They have scrimmages against other towns beginning at the end of September and the MVIL Soccer Festival in October. Third and fourth graders play co-ed and have at least one scheduled practice and one scheduled game per week. The MVIL Tournament (round robin format) is held at the end of October. Fifth and sixth grade boys and girls are on separate teams at this level. They practice twice a week until games begin, and then move to one practice and two games per week. They also participate in playoffs and the MV Cup Tournament. Seventh and eighth grade children are from all four towns in the Merrimack Valley School district combined. They play on individual teams for girls and boys. Teams have scheduled practices, two games per week and also participate in playoffs and the MV Cup Tournament. The high school (9th - 12th) grade team is coed with players from all towns in the Merrimack Valley School district. They play a round-robin game schedule on Sundays.
