Florence Township Field Hockey Association Code of Conduct
PLAYERS I will exhibit good character, sportsmanship and behavior at all times, and will encourage such from fellow players, my parents and coaches. I will remember that my participation is an opportunity to learn and have fun, not just to please my parents or coach. I will make sure that I have the required equipment for practices and games and understand that I will not be able to participate if I do not. I will be on time for every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coach in advance if I cannot. I will consistently demonstrate effort and will try to do my best at every practice and game, working hard to improve my skills and to help my team. I will follow the rules of the game. I will never argue with a coach or referee or complain about their calls or decisions. I understand that foul language, poor sportsmanship and derogatory comments will not be tolerated and that I may suspended from games or the team for such behavior. I will avoid the use of drugs, alcohol or tobacco products.

I will do my very best to make participation in FTFHA fun for my child and will not place a burden on my child to win games.
I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of a personal desire to win.
I will never argue with a coach or referee or complain about their calls or decisions. I will support efforts to provide an environment for my child that is free from drugs, tobacco & alcohol. I will refrain from their use at all games and practices.
I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of emotional and physical development for the same age group. I will do my best to provide a safe playing situation for my players. I will never argue with a fellow coach or referee or complain about their calls or decisions.
I will respect coaches’ decisions relative I will do my best to organize practices to my child’s role on the team. that are fun and challenging for all of I will refrain from expressing negative my players. comments, either direct or implied, about the FTFHA or any player, parent, I will teach my players the rules of the game. coach or Board Member in public and/or on social media. I will do my best to ensure that players I will follow the 24 hour rule - I will not receive equal playing time. approach a coach after a game for 24 hours with any concern or problem that I might wish addressed.
I will abide by the By-Laws of the FTFHA.
If I feel that a problem is not getting resolved, I will enlist the assistance of the FTFHA Board by sending an email to the FTFHA Secretary.
