Since 2002, the National Electric Code has mandated Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters in specific home applications. Once thought only necessary for bedroom circuits, these breakers are now found in applications throughout a home. Both home builders and home renovators have added AFCI to their product offering. In the past, installing an AFCI was cumbersome at best. Traditionally, circuits were located at the bottom of the loadcenter and far from the neutral bar.
With your busy schedule in mind, Eaton’s electrical business has developed a unique Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter that plugs directly on to the neutral bar. When used in conjunction with an Eaton plug-on neutral loadcenter, you can save as much as one minute per breaker in installation time. This convenient option is also available for GFCI applications as well. Plus, with the plug-on neutral loadcenter, ALL circuits will be easier to wire in the pigtail free gutter space.
