What We’re Looking For As a member of the Park Operations department you will join a dedicated team whose primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, secure, efficient and accurate control of all guests using the rides and attractions. This role is very varied and covers a number of functions within the Park Operations Department. You will be giving assistance to the Park Operations Manager and the management team to run the department as efficiently and economically as possible. What You’ll Need

What You’ll be Doing
Assist in the recruitment, induction, training and supervision of staff within the department.
Ensure that all training records and Daily Operations Sheets are recorded correctly and returned to the Park Operations Manager for filing. Report immediately any areas of concerns to the Park Operations Manager.
Constantly observe assigned area, organize and monitor breaks ensuring that adequate levels of trained staff are in the right areas at the right times and be available to staff and guests.
Monitor and observe seasonal staff during their daily tasks and record findings. Make visits to ride locations and areas of responsibility, record visits on appropriate sheets.
Communicate with guests, deal with enquiries, issues, lost children and generally promote the goodwill of Paultons.
Follow Company procedure when dealing with sensitive issues or comments. Seek further advice or assistance at the earliest opportunity passing any such issues to a member of the full time management team.
Carry out any maintenance and minor repairs as requested by the Park Operations Manager on any rides or equipment within the department. Report any defects to the Park Operations Manager so that repairs can be organized without delay.
Supervise all areas of Park cleaning with particular responsibility for all toilet blocks including regular Paultons Park Ltd |HR

inspections throughout the day.
Monitor time sheet recordings to ensure they are correctly filled out and that the correct times are inserted into each box. Monitor litter, bins and general housekeeping in all Park areas. Assist in the delegation of tasks to ensure high standards are maintained. Assist with cash handling within the department following Company procedures. Supervise and lead the car park team when requested to ensure a smooth arrival for guests with minimal delay. You will need to be firm but fair. Supervise and lead the Guest Welcome Team to ensure that Guests are welcomed and directed as required to admissions or turnstiles, actively promote effective queue management to ensure efficient transaction and entry times. Maintain ticket checking and appropriate entry at Guest Welcome, ensuring heights are checked and ensuring that all guests entering the Park have purchased the appropriate ticket as well as the correct number. Checking Season Tickets relate to the correct person and are valid. A firm and fair approach must be used. Provide support to the nursing staff, help with locating incidents, transportation and assist with emergencies (only if qualified First Aider with the Company). Ensure that any relevant documentation regarding incidents, near misses is recorded thoroughly and passed to the Park Operations Manager. Assist with opening up including safety inspections on a daily basis accurately recording/ filing reports. Continue to monitor safety throughout the day and report immediately any findings to the Park Operations Manager. In the absence of both the Assistant Park Operations Manager and Park Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the Ride Handover sheets are signed by the Engineering department before rides can be operated. Be prepared to undertake any/ all ride operating or front line roles as required by the management team. Assist with closing down ensuring all areas are correctly shut down/ turned off and secured. Organisation and assistance from seasonal staff will be required at some popular locations. This will need to be done in good time before closing down. Be prepared to take a first aid course and become a qualified first aider. Be prepared to attend any training courses the Company may deem necessary for you to undertake.
When You’ll Be Doing It
This is a seasonal position which includes weekends, school and bank holidays. Hours will vary dependent on the time of year and flexibility is required but primarily this will be a full time role working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. A 07:30 start is required.
