What To Consider No matter the size of your event, there are a few key things to prepare for when setting up your atthedoor sales. ● Internet Connection ○ What will your internet situation be like? ○ Will you be using WIFI, mobile hotspot, ethernet? Our Point of Sale functionality requires an internet connection to work. For best results and seamless processing, it is critical to know your internet situation in advance and ensure you will have steady and strong connectivity throughout the event. If you are not using your own internet connection, we strongly recommend discussing this with the venue and testing in advance of your event to make sure you will have access to a solid connection. __________________________________________ ● Device Compatibility ○ What type of operating system does your device support? Currently, Ticketbud’s Point of Sale feature only operates on Android smartphones and tablets. If you have your own device, we will send you the software to quickly and easily download. If you do not have your own Android device, Ticketbud offers tablet rentals with our software already loaded. If you would like to rent equipment, please send an inquiry to

[email protected] with the subject line Equipment Rental: [EVENT NAME] and include the following: ● Name of your event ● Your name and phone number ● Number of devices/dongles required ● Date you would like to receive equipment by ● Event Date __________________________________________ ● Access to Power ○ Will you have access to power? ○ How close will you be to outlets, a generator, extension cords? While Ticketbud’s Point of Sale functionality will not be a major drain to your device’s battery, it is still important to be able to charge your device(s) if necessary. Just as you should confirm your internet connectivity well in advance, you should also have your power situation confirmed and nailed down beforehand. __________________________________________ For additional information on managing checkin and scanning tickets, check out our awesome Checkin Training Guide at activate.ticketbud.com/training_guide/.

Troubleshooting The Ticketbud Point of Sale feature has been optimized to run smoothly and accept payments efficiently. However, if you do run into an issue, here are a few troubleshoot options to relay to your team. ● Slow Load Times ○ Does the payment information take more than a few seconds to show up after swiping? ○ Does it take more than a few seconds for the payment to be successfully transacted?
14
If the internet connection is weak or the network being accessed is also being used by others, Point of Sale may load more slowly. If a transaction is taking unusually long, you can cancel the action by pressing the blue Swipe button or by returning to the Event page and then going back into the feature. __________________________________________ ● Card Is Not Swiping Properly ○ Is the credit card information not appearing? If you swipe a card and the information for that card does not populate the fields below, here are a few troubleshooting questions you can ask: a. Is the card itself working? Many times a weathered magnetic strip on the back of a card can make it difficult for the Ticketbud dongle to read. New cards also take time to authenticate so if a card is brand new this could hinder the dongle from acquiring the proper data. If either of these may be the case, recommend the attendee try another card. b. Is this dongle plugged in completely? The dongle needs to be firmly connected to your device for the dongle to read the card. If swiped cards are not being read, press down on the dongle to make sure it is securely attached. __________________________________________
