Types of Queries §
Reservation Queries § Access to all reservation information in EMS including: reservations, bookings, service orders and resources, pricing, and groups and contacts; only returns values on items attached to reservations; reservation, service order, and group user defined fields available for filter
§
Group Queries § Access to group/contact information in EMS; does not require the group be attached to a reservation; good for mailing and marketing purposes; reservation, service order, and group user defined fields available for filter
§
Billing Queries § Access to all transaction (invoices, adjustments, payments) information in EMS; allows combination of reservation and transaction information in single report; must be invoicing for data to become “billed”
§
Sales/Statistics Queries § Access to all revenue information in EMS; resources, services, and fees can be queried; items can be filtered by net, gross and discount amounts; does not require invoicing
§
Academic Queries (EMS Campus) § Access to course level information in EMS: course numbers, meeting patterns, instructors, CRNs, enrollment, etc.
Creating Charts The sales/statistics query type provides the opportunity to produce a chart of the results provided that the second display field is a chartable or “special” level field.
Queries in the Browser You can leverage the display fields in a query to customize the columns that appear in the Browser.
Queries in the Dashboard The Analytics section of the Dashboard provides quick access to any queries available to a user.
