Position Advertised: Performance Pathway and Coach Development Lead Reports to: ICC Academy Manager Commencement date: August 2014 BACKGROUND: The ICC Academy is an exciting strategic partnership between the ICC and Dubai Sports City with the vision to become and remain the world’s leading cricket development, performance and education institution. The ICC Academy has a clear 4 year strategy deliberately designed to enable that vision to be realised within a management structure which is aligned exactly to it. Based at Dubai Sports City, next door the ICC HQ, the ICC Academy boasts some of the best cricketing facilities in the world and is used by International and First Class teams as well a local users from across the globe. POSITION PURPOSE: The post holder will be expected to lead the design and development of the pathways for talented players at ICC Academy in collaboration with UAE cricket as well as make a telling contribution to the ICC Academy’s coach education and development work stream. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and experienced individual to join our team. Skills, Experience and Attributes: To be successful in this role, the incumbent will be: - Motivated to want to build a world-leading talent identification development system, with keen interests in scouting, player profiling and creating coaching environments which equip players with the skills they need to thrive in international cricket - Prepared to go above and beyond, have exceptionally high standards for your own work and be prepared to challenge and support colleagues to achieve excellence - Comfortable working within an elite cricket setting and have previous experience of doing so - Experienced in supporting coach education and be interested in helping other coaches to learn through innovative means including online - Interested specifically in one or more of the following areas: Performance Analysis, Skill Acquisition/ Practice Structure, Fielding, Wicket Keeping - Experienced in using a range of sport specific I.T. applications

Essential Requirements: -

A minimum recognised NGB Level 3 Cricket Coaching Qualification and/or undergraduate level teaching/ sport science qualification

A recognized coach education qualification and significant experience of developing and delivering coach education

-

5-10-years of cricket coaching experience within performance development/ talent development systems

Although primarily based at the ICC Academy, the role may require some international travel with teams and squads during the year.
