“By definition, a knight is a soldier that protects and upholds honor and virtue. A Gannon Lady Knight is that and more. It is family, lifelong friendships and a commitment to excellence in academics and athletics.” Colin Petersen women’s soccer head coach 15th season
“I’m not sure I can truly answer the question if I was asked to describe what it meant to be a Gannon Lady Knight. I could go on and on about some cliche explanation, but it still wouldn’t justify what it truly has done for me. How can you describe the team, the coaching staff, the program, and the memories I was lucky enough to be blessed with these past couple of years here at Gannon? If you’re looking for a description on what it’s like, words won’t do it for you. It’s something you have to experience for yourself. Being a Gannon Knight has rewarded me with endless opportunities, indescribable experiences and irreplaceable friendships that I know I couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s something I’m very grateful for.” Michelle Genetin Four-Year Soccer Student-Athlete And 2016 Graduate - navarre, OH
“Student-athletes at Gannon University continually demonstrate that academic and athletic excellence are not mutually exclusive. They not only take great pride in their academic and athletic endeavors, but also exude leadership and a commitment to service, both on-campus and in the greater Erie community. This is what being a Lady Knight is all about – commitment, pride and excellence.” Lisa Goddard McGuirk director of athletics
