WBSC – Tagging Fields for Games/Practices Follow the steps outlined in this document in order to tag (= book or reserve) WBSC fields for games and practices. Tagging fields involves a 2-step process: 1) First checking fields for current schedules to see if fields are already tagged/booked 2) Tag fields for your practices/games The process for both step 1 and 2 is described below.

1) Checking current schedules It is extremely important to check current field schedules in order not to overbook fields. A couple of notes to consider: - Two teams can share a field, but beyond that would be to overbook - If a team has a field booked for a scrimmage or game please do not also schedule a practice on the same field/time - A complete inventory of fields is available on the WBSC website under: Coaches -> Fields - All available fields are listed on the right side of the Fields webpage (broken down by field size, e.g. U9/10, U11/12, U13+), with each field being hyperlinked to its own To view a field schedule follow these steps: 1) Choose which field you wish to view the schedule for 2) Click the hyperlinked field name, which brings you to a page with a map to the field 3) Bottom of the page has a high level schedule showing upcoming field activities (see screen shot 1) 4) To view a more complete calendar view of the field schedule click the View All in the bottom right corner 5) In the complete calendar, review desired practice/game days and times to confirm if field is already booked (see screen shot 2) Screen shot 1 – high level field schedule:

2) Tag fields for games/practices Once you have decided when to schedule your practices and which field(s) to tag follow the steps below to tag your fields/practices. 1) Ensure you are logged into your WBSC account on the website 2) Navigate to your team’s webpage 3) Go into Edit mode by clicking the “edit mode” button in the far left frame, see screen shot 3 a. 4) Find your team calendar on your webpage (usually toward the bottom of the page) 5) Click the gear box in top right corner of the calendar then Add Event, see screen shot 4 Screen shot 4 – add event:

6) Fill out the event info and click Show Tag Menu button, see screen shot 5 a. Notice how your team is already tagged by default. Make sure not to un-tag your team! Screen shot 5 –open tag menu:

7) In the tag menu, scroll toward the bottom where Fields appear (under Coaches/Managers), see screen shot 6 8) Check the checkbox next to the field of choice a. Notice how once checked, the field name appears in your tags (see red arrow in screen shot 6) b. Note – do not tag more than one field for an event Screen shot 6 –open tag menu:

9) Click Create This Event button at the bottom of the screen to finalize the event, which then also tags the field The event should now appear in your team calendar on your team’s webpage. If you navigate back to the field inventory (Coaches -> Fields) and click on the field you chose to tag, you should also see your scheduled events on that field’s calendar.
