From your mediums, cut 60 - 3” squares and cut once on the diagonal. Lay them on the remaining sides of the trimmed 3B unit and stitch on as shown. Always use a scant 1/4” seam allowance. Press the seam toward the triangle. The units should measure 4 3/4” square. Trim as necessary, removing the dog ears. Make 60.

Prairie Quilt Mercantile Plenty of Fish Mystery Quilt Step #8B From your darks, cut 60 - 3 1/2” squares. Take the triangle units from 3A and attach them to the sides of the dark squares as shown. The light fabric should be up against the dark square, on BOTH sides. Stitch on the first 3A as shown and press the seam toward the dark square. *Remember that there are 60 3A with the light fabric on the right, and 60 3A with the light on the left. Notice that the first 3A unit to be stitched on, has the light fabric on the right side.

Stitch another 3A, with the light fabric on the left hand side to the next side of the dark square, referring to the photo on the left below for placement. Press the seam toward the 3A unit this time. The photo on the right shows the back side of the unit, and the directions that the seams should be pressed. Make 60 units.

Cut in margarine with a pastry blender. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Add to dry ingredients. Add cinnamon chips. Stir with a fork to make a soft dough. Knead a few times.
