Haïti Global Partnership 2016 – Prayer Calendar We invite you to pray for us using Acts 10 – God brought Peter and Cornelius together. This experience challenged and expanded their understandings of God. In the same way, we pray that this partnership will challenge and expand students’ understanding of God, as we develop relationships with GBEUH students.

“He (Cornelius) was a devout man who feared God with all his household; he gave alms generously to the people and prayed constantly to God…an upright and God –fearing man.” v. 2, 22 Pray that we pay attention to who we are inside more than to what we accomplish outside. 10

“But Peter said, ‘By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is profane or unclean.” The voice said to him again, a second time, “What God has made clean, you must not call profane.” This happened three times.” v.14-15 Pray that God will persistently speak the truth to us, until we can hear Him.
As we interact with Moril, Pastor Seige and Haitian students, pray that we are challenged to see clearly and understand the difference between our cultural traditions and God’s intended creation.

“Then they (Cornelius and his household) invited him (Peter) to stay for several days.” v.48 Even though the relationship between Peter and Cornelius changed the history of the Church, they only stayed together for a few days. Our last two days will be spending time to debrief what God is doing in our hearts through this partnership. Pray that God gives us new understanding of who God is and who we are.
We will depart Port Au Prince at 2:25 pm and our last student will arrive back to St. John’s by midnight. Please pray for safe travel and the presence of God as we are returning home with a new worldview after 16 days in Haïti.

Dear ministry partners, Thank you for sending us to partner with GBEUH, thank you for supporting us through finance and prayer, thank you for receiving us back home. Our prayer is that you too will seek to have relationships with people who have different traditions, different cultural backgrounds or different ethnicities than yours, so that your understanding of God will be challenged and expanded, like Peter’s and Cornelius’ in Acts 10. Peace and grace, IV Haïti Global Partnership team 2016
