Prayerfully determine where you will pray. The Lord may call you to pray for your own neighborhood, or He may call you to pray for another. Either way, it is important to know where you plan to go before you go. Prayerfully determine your plan of action. Will you simply pray, hand out invitation cards, gospel tracts, or knock on doors? There is no right or wrong way, but it is important to know which way is yours before you go. Once you have determined where you are going and what you are doing, pray for your neighborhood and call on others to pray or even go with you. Go by faith, trusting that Jesus will use you as you surrender your heart and hands to Him. (See the other side for suggestions for what to pray as you go.) When you have finished your course for the day, take some time to thank Jesus for what He has done, and what He will do. You have sown seeds in faith, now nourish them in prayer.

What to Pray for Your Neighbors
Praise God that He will be glorified in your neighborhood and among the nations (Psalm 46:10; Rev 5:9). Pray that the Lord would guide you as you walk and talk to people. Pray that God would command his light to shine into the darkness of every heart and household; that every person would hear a clear presentation of the gospel; and that God would keep Satan from blinding their eyes (2 Cor 4:1-6). Pray that God would be merciful and bless families, heal diseases, provide for practical needs, break bonds of addiction, etc. (Psalm 130:3-4; Matthew 5:38-48). Pray that the praises of God would rise as the mercy of God descends on your neighborhood; that people would live lives of worship (Mark 12:28-34; Psalm 63:3-7). Pray that believers would be strong in the Lord and walk in community with other believers (John 13:34-35; Heb 3:12-14). Pray that believers, or soon to be believers, would be moved by the Lord to use their time, talent, and treasure for the glory of Christ; pray that the Lord would send some of them to other places and nations to share the good news of Jesus (Matt 28:18-20). Pray that the Lord would use Glory of Christ in some way to love and bless your neighborhood.
