Pre-Season Camp
PRE-TRYOUT TRAINING FOR MITES, SQUIRTS, U8, & U10 BOYS AND GIRLS Instructed by Elk River Assistant High School Hockey Coaches
OUR CAMP FOCUS: Preparing for tryouts & HEP evaluations on home ice in small groups. Teaching and fine tuning forward and backward skating, edge work, crossovers-forward and backward, skating with the puck, passing, shooting and small area games to promote creativity and skill development. Goaltender focus training will include developing specific movements, proper save selection, better understanding of angles and fundamental edgework. We have room for 100 skaters only. We will have 25 -30 skaters per group and divided into 4 sessions. Organization of groups will be based on enrollment. This training is for returning ERYHA skaters only. Players must be age eligible (2017-2018 season) for: Mite, Squirt, U8 or U10 to participate. SESSION DATES: Ice time is reserved for a 5-week duration starting September 10th and ending on October 12th (ERYHA Squirt Tryouts start the weekend of October 13th). Times will vary on Sundays from 3:00 to 7:30 and the weekdays 6:30-9:00. PLAN TO SKATE EVERY SUNDAY AND ONE DAY DURING THE WEEK ● Week 1 skate Sunday and Monday, Wednesday or Thursday. ● Weeks 2-5 skate Sunday and Wednesday or Thursday. Schedules will be emailed after July 15th. Skate times will be based on registration numbers. We will notify you individually via email confirmation once your enrollment is complete. REGISTRATION DEADLINE-JULY 1ST Spots are limited. Registration will end after the first 100 skaters are registered and paid for. An email notification from ERYHA will be sent once all sessions are full and enrollment is closed. SKATERS COST-$180 FOR 10 HOURS OF ICE GOALIES COST-$180 FOR 10 HOURS OF ICE This includes .5 hours per week of individualized goaltender focused training.
