2018 TRANSFORMING HEALTH, DRIVING POLICY CONFERENCE

The American Academy of Nursing’s 2018 Transforming Health, Driving Policy Conference will identify ways nurses are transforming health and building a better care delivery system. This three-day conference will showcase the extraordinary work nurses are undertaking to drive policy changes that meet the health needs of individuals and populations. The conference highlights nursing initiatives that are transforming health, leading change, influencing policy, and ultimately improving the nation’s health.

LEARNING OUTCOME Participants will have the information and confidence necessary to address health policy issues important to them and the Academy.

RHEBA DE TORNYAY DEVELOPMENT FUND To quote Dr. de Tornyay, the Academy’s first president, “We are a small group charged with setting the course for a large and essential profession.” The effectiveness of the Academy, in part, depends on a healthy Development Fund. The ways in which a Fellow’s presence can be felt include active participation on an Expert Panel or Committee, sponsorship of a New Fellow, Living Legend or Honorary Fellow, or monetary gifts given at a level that is meaningful to them. When you register for this year’s conference, please consider a gift to the Rheba de Tornyay Development Fund. PLEASE NOTE: Contributions received by September 15, 2018, will be acknowledged in the 2017 Annual Report.
