McDonald New Prepaid Cards program McDonald International School is now doing a bigger (and better) Prepaid Gift Card Program with Great Lakes Scrip (GLS). Families can sign up online to purchase from over 700 merchants, each of which offers a different percentage of the gift card’s face-value which is earned by the school. GROCERIES Got Milk? Swing in to QFC and purchase some with your prepaid gift card. That purchase just earned McDonald money for the IA fund. By buying just $400 of groceries per month with prepaid gift cards from stores like QFC, Safteway, PCC, WholeFoods - and even Amazon Fresh, you could contribute $240 per year to the school. EVERYDAY SPENDING AND LARGE PURCHASES New skis?...$40 contributed. New washer and dryer?...$60 contributed. Raincoat, scarf and boots?...$40 contributed with a purchase of a prepaid gift card from stores like the Nordstrom, GAP, REI and the Home Depot. GIFT GIVING It is an easy way to buy for birthdays, thank you gifts, teacher gifts and holidays for family, friends and colleagues. The prepaid card program could raise over $15,000 per year for the PTA, without any donation from you. The participating retailer offers a discount on the cards that the PTA purchases and the % discount from the face value of the sale is donated to the IA Fund when you shop there with a prepaid gift card. There are a few options for ordering: • Sign up online at www.glscrip.com, use enrollment code A33538D938263 and confirm enrollment for McDonald International (download complete directions from the McDonald PTA website) then use the order form to submit orders online. Checks (made out to McDonald PTA) must be submitted prior to the completion of the order. Cards will be sent to the school and delivered either on the playground before or after school or sent home by sneakermail. • Download the order form (from the McDonald PTA web site) and submit the order along with a check (payable to: McDonald PTA) for the total of the order, to the school office, mail or drop off with the coordinator. • PrestoPay, a PayPal like service, where gift cards are ordered and purchased online (there is a $0.15 charge per order and a $30 NSF fee). • With PrestoPay added to an account, ScripNow, similar to the Chinook Book Mobile App, downloads the coupon/card immediately to a mobile phone or printer.
