History NEFC has a rich history within the premier soccer community. Over its 20 year history the club has rapidly grown its membership, state of the art facilities, and professional staff. NEFC was founded in 1992 as Tri-Valley United, “TVU”. In 2002, the club merged with the Eagles Soccer Club and changed its name to the Tri-Valley Eagles, “TVE”. In 2006, TVE merged once again with Spirit of Massachusetts and until 2009 was named the New England Eagles FC. In the last 5 years NEFC has merged with both FC PUMA and Grasshopper FC as well as expanding geographically into both the south shore and south coast of Massachusetts. Through both internal growth and acquisitions NEFC has more than tripled its membership and now has over 1500 players.

r

Since 2007 NEFC has built a well-integrated Youth Structure (Regional Development Center or RDC) for players aged 5-11 years old with the goal of developing highly competent players while also providing a fun, safe and professional environment to build players passions for the game. NEFC trains well over 400 RDC players throughout the regions in close proximity to players’ neighborhoods.

NEFC trains in various locations throughout the metro north, central Massachusetts, south shore and south coast regions, which allows for convenient accessibility for the serious soccer player. With over 100 teams NEFC provides the opportunity for premier players to train and compete under the NEFC umbrella over a vast geography. The club has worked hard over its 20+ year history to provide the bes product and brand leapfrogging many of its more established competitors. NEFC is a non-for-profit 501(C)(3) organization

NSCAA Premier Diploma “I was always taught growing up as a professional player if you do something, do it right. Work as hard as you can and never quit. For me, soccer always was and always will be worth doing right.”

Trevor Davock Tabbed NSCAA AllAmerican

T

Trevor Davock was named a NSCAA AllAmerican. He currently plays for Rivers School and Ed Kelly's U17 Elite team. We recently caught up with him to talk about this honor.

How did you first find out you were an AllAmerican?

T

I found out I was selected as an All-American the day before the New England quarterfinal. After school, but before practice, my coach, Bob Pipe, called me over and he seemed angry. I thought I was in trouble, but he looked at me and smiled then told me the news. It's truly a team award because without my team success I would never have been recognized. I can't thank them enough for everything they have helped me accomplish.

NEFC Capital Campaign As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, NEFC seeks crucial additional support from individuals, corporations, businesses and foundations. Gifts to NEFC are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. NEFC is seeking support in several key areas. NEFC’s playing and training facilities reflect and are an integral part of the quality of the organization and its programs. However, there are a limited number of appropriate facilities, and with NEFC’s expansion and growth the club is at capacity. Scheduling and accommodating all who wish to participate are constant challenges. Currently NEFC rents all of its facilities. This represents a significant cost to the organization and one that is not fully under our control. The unpredictability of rentals also raises issues of continuity and consistency. In addition, the club lacks a centralized site to serve as an organizational focus and base of operations. NEFC is seeking to purchase a tract of land on which to build a multiple field complex and support facilities. The targeted area is the I-495/I-290/rt9 corridor, central and accessible to all of our regions. NEFC is planning a capital campaign to fund this initiative. We would welcome the opportunity to share information and details with you and explore ways you or your company can help to make this dream a reality. Contact Jason Braga [email protected] and David Wahl [email protected] for more information

The College Process NEFC Coaches have experience at all levels of the college game. Collectively we have decades of experience with college soccer and understanding the recruiting process. NEFC coaches prioritize the importance of academics for our players and assist our players and families navigate the college soccer recruiting process. Boy's Director Ed Kelly and Girl's Director Chris Hamblin and the NEFC coaching staff have helped NEFC players play at all levels of the college game. NEFC's college programing challenges players and parents to think about the unpredictable variables surrounding the recruiting process, and clarifies many of the questions players and parents experience. Our goal is not to get you to the best soccer program, but to find the school that is the best fit for your academic, athletic and social expectations. Our teams will attend appropriate showcase events to provide opportunity for college evaluation and we aim to provide our NEFC coaches with the support and resources necessary to help NEFC players realize their academic and soccer potential. We ask our coaches to be very clear with players regarding their athletic expectations and college potential. Our staff can call upon NEFC's extensive network of college connections to help players get on the radar of college coaches and earn the opportunity to be evaluated. In January NEFC hosts a College Soccer Recruiting Seminar for U14-U18 players. NEFC also provides email/resume templates and and an online knowledge base for our players.
