Press release – secondary consultation June 2014

Ridgeway Middle School (Ridgeway Academy Trust) is proposing to change the age range and Pupil Admission Numbers (PAN) of Ridgeway Middle School from a Middle (9-13 yrs 5-8) to a Secondary (11-16 yrs 7-11) setting. As you will be aware, Tudor Grange Academy Redditch is in the process of consulting to change its age ranges. Other schools local to Ridgeway are also consulting on age range changes. Ridgeway Middle School (Ridgeway Academy Trust) is working closely with Astwood Bank Academy First School and Webheath Academy First School. Ridgeway Middle School (Ridgeway Academy Trust) is also working with Feckenham CofE First School. We hope to continue working for the local pupils and families of Redditch. We are committed to working with all local schools and the Local Authority and wish to extend and further develop these partnerships in the future. We want to continue working closely with our local schools in the area for the benefit of our immediate community and the wider area. We are genuinely interested in your thoughts and opinions and will ensure that all comments are put forward under this consultation. To this end, the school will host a meeting in the hall on Monday 16th June at 7pm. Written feedback can be sent to the school marked ‘age range change consultation’. All of this information will be collated for the governors meeting week commencing 7th July 2014 where they will decide whether or not to make a submission to the Secretary of State.
