Groundbreaking took place at the Prairie Lakes Coop Grain Site south of Long Prairie on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Prairie Lakes Coop strives to enhance their facility by speeding up the grain handling process. The new grain site being built will include three 100,000-bushel bins, a new probe and truck scale. This past fall Prairie Lakes Coop handled more than 2.5 million bushels of grain. With the continually increasing volume of grain in Long Prairie, this $2.9 project is long overdue. Completion of project is expected by fall harvest
