Manhattan Beach Police Department Recognizes “Movember” as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
Location:
Manhattan Beach Police Department 420 – 15th Street
This year, from November 1st through November 30th, members of the Manhattan Beach Police Department will be displaying moustaches and moustache pins to show their support for prostate cancer awareness as part of the Movember campaign. Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer. The goal of Movember is to “change the face of men’s health.” Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Men are encouraged to be aware of any family history of cancer and to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The Manhattan Beach Police Department is proud to be part of this movement to generate awareness for those whose lives have been affected by prostate cancer.
