Primary Maths | Network Meeting Wednesday 17th January 2018 | 1.30-3.30 | Okehampton Primary School

Meeting aims The aim is to create a support network in which Primary Maths Leads share ideas, explore effective practice and discuss issues surrounding Maths today. We will focus on practical solutions to common challenges and gain expert advice and guidance from leading professionals and school-based practitioners.

2.45-3.15: No Nonense Maths Catherine Gee to present experiences of trialling No Nonsense Maths at Okehampton Primary. Delegates to explore materials and share experiences.

3.15-3.30: Items for next meeting Delegates to discuss items for next meeting.

1.30-1.45: Network discussion Open discussion about current issues in Maths and what the group would like from the network.

1.45-2.15: Practitioner input Presentation by Bassett’s Farm Primary School (Exmouth) on approaches they have taken to secure three-years high progress measures at KS2 in Maths, followed by Q&A.

2.15-2.45: KS1 Maths Moderation Martin Evely (part of Babcock moderation team) will lead sessions exploring main issues arising from 2017 maths moderation and looking ahead to 2018.
