Glasgow will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The Athletes’ Village, National Indoor Sports Arena and National Velodrome are located to the north of the site in Glasgow’s East End.

The site fronts Cambuslang Road, in Rutherglen and is within 500 metres of junction 2 of the new M74 Completion Route.
