[ACADEMICS]
Dear Class 263 family, Welcome to Room 263 K-‐2! As you know ours is a 12:1:1 class. The students are very excited about school and are adjusting very well to their new environment.
The Month Ahead: The students are working on fine motor skills, puzzles, stringing beads, sorting (classifying), attending, listening, and learning skills. We are also doing various assessments. Math: Kindergarten – Numbers 1 to 10 Grade 1 – Number Bonds ELA: Kindergarten – Nursery Rhymes and fables Grade 1 – Fables and fairy tales Phonics: Phonemic Awareness and Sound Association

Parent-‐Teacher Conferences is September 16th Curriculum Day is September 24th There is no school on September 25th and 26th [OUR THANKS] Mr. Modibo who has been working superbly with the students. The administration who has provided us with the tools we need, and the office staff who is always ready to give us any assistance. [REMINDERS] Read and return books in book baggies to school daily. Please return all forms to school.
