Proposal 2016-114 - Study Abroad • Exempt time participating in study-abroad from 5-year clock
• Would permit head-count sports to replace SA during the academic term of study-abroad • Equivalency sports would be able to exempt the financial aid from maximum equivalency limits. • This F.Aid could be awarded to another SA during this term • Adopted – Effective 8/1/17
Proposal 2016-115 - Internship • Exempts from 5-year clock – time spent in full-time internship or cooperative educational work experience – during regular term
• Institution must recognize SA as full-time enrolled at time of Internship • SA must be academically eligible for competition at time of Internship • SA cannot practice or participate in competition for institution or any outside team

Proposal 2016-120 – Notice of SA Time Demands • Specify that the E. Center will provide PSA with notice of general time demands – related to being a SA • Document will be developed in collaboration with NCAA staff and National SA Advisory Committee • Further – in conjunction with Official Visit – institutions may provide additional expectations applicable to each sport
Notice of SA Time Demands • Each institution may have 1 document used by all teams or can have sport specific documents • The document must clearly set forth time demand expectations of being a SA

Autonomy – Proposal 2016-131 - Meals in Conjuction with Away Competitions • On each day associated with an away from home competition – institution may choose one of these options: • 1 – All SA’s are permitted to receive Pre & Post game meal as benefit incidental to participation – in addition to regular meals or meal allowance per institutional policy. At its discretion – may provide cash not to exceed $15 in lieu of post game meal….. Or
Meals in Conjuction with Away Competitions • 2- All SA’s are permitted to receive meals at institutions discretion • If the SA does not use team travel to return to campus, he / she may receive meals at the institutions discretion up to point he/she is released. Autonomy - 2016-137 - SA Time Management Plan • Requires institution to provide each SA a Time Management Plan for each sport.
