TOOLS: Phillips #00 Screwdriver (1) iFixit Opening Tools (1) Heavy-Duty Spudger (1)

Step 1 — Screen 

Remove both 4 mm screws on the top of the tablet with a PH00 screw driver.



Use the blue plastic opening tool to pry open the tablet.

Step 2

 You will hear popping sounds. That's okay.

 Be careful when using the blue plastic opening tool on the side of the device near the speakers, as there is a wire here that connects the speakers to the motherboard.

Step 3 

Remove three 4 mm screws from the motherboard.



Insert a spudger under the black tape that connects the silver wire to the interior of the front panel



Pull back the black tape with the spudger until it can be lifted up with your fingers.



Use your fingers to grab and lift the remainder of the black tape from device panel.

Step 5 

Use a plastic opening tool to push back the ZIF connector to release the ribbon wire on the motherboard.



Insert an opening tool underneath the silver base of the internal device element.



Use the opening tool to pry the element out of the case that holds the screen.

Step 6

 You will need to release a number of clips in order to remove the screen.

 Be careful not to damage the motherboard or battery as you go.
