PTARC SPRING CLASSES - JR GOLF ,VOLLEYBALL, HIP HOP & HOLA AMIGOS! JR. GOLF Ages 12-17
HOLA AMIGOS! Ages 5-9
Beginning golf etiquette and basic skills including grip, stance, and addressing the ball. Bring your own clubs. Additional cost for buckets of balls. Instructor: Ed Herbst, PTHS Golf Coach Location: McDains 4440 Broadway Blvd., Monroeville Time: Thursday, 4:00-5:00 pm 4 Week Session: April 5-26
Come learn Spanish with PT Spanish teacher Nicole Burtch through weekly stories, songs and activities! Each week features a different children’s story in Spanish focusing on basic vocabulary—like colors, numbers, animals, body parts, family members and more! Vocabulary is reinforced through songs, games and crafts. A vocabulary list will also be given to families so you can practice at home. Location: Penn Trafford HS (Room 211) Date: 4/4-5/16 No class 5/2 Time: 6:15-7:00pm Fee: $39.00
VOLLEYBALL Ages 6-15, Grades 1-6
HIP HOP Ages 6-12
Explore the instructional fundamentals of volleyball. Participants learn passing, setting, hitting, blocking and serving as well as basic offense, defense, positioning, and team strategy. Kneepads are recommended but not required. Whether your child is an experienced player or a complete novice, they will have a blast learning about the sport in this fun and innovative program! Instructor: Jump Start Sports Location: Penn Middle Aux Gym Time: Wednesday, 6:00-7:00 pm Ages 6-10 OR 7:00-8:00 pm Ages 10-14 6 Week Session: April 4-May 16 (no 5/9)
This class is for students who are just starting out or have minimal experience in hip hop. You will learn various hip hop moves in a fun-filled and vibrant class environment. This is an upbeat and high energy class-so get ready to do some “funky foot work”! Instructor: Mariah Thoma Location: Penn Township Ambulance Time: Thursday, 6:45-7:30 pm 6 Week Session: April 12-May 17 Fee: PTSD Residents $34, Non-Residents
