Pukajirca Central, W est Face. A n Italian expedition led by M ario Curnis climbed the difficult 3000-foot west face of Pukajirca Central but did not m ake the final few meters to the sum m it because of extremely bad w eather. The other members were A ugusto Azzoni, Attilio Bianchetti, A nnibale Bonicelli, Renato Fassi, D ario Rota, G ianni Scarpelini, Piero N ava and U m berto Testa.
