It will soon be time for the “Choose and Pick” pumpkin patch to open in The Ranches. Beginning October 1st the patch will be open each day until all the pumpkins are gone at the end of the month. Unlike going to the grocery store where pumpkins are weighed and you are charged, usually anywhere from 20 to 28 cents per pound, in The Ranches you simply leave a contribution after picking your pumpkins. Picture taking of your children is optional but encouraged :) So why the difference? Grocers have to make a profit. At the community pumpkin patch, every penny you contribute goes to a fund to help disadvantaged young men and women gain additional education that will help them live independently and raise the standard of living for themselves and their families, thus lifting them out of poverty by their own work and abilities. The fund is called The Perpetual Education Fund. It operates with zero overhead. Every penny contributed goes directly to the purpose. The location is 2847 Saddle Rock Road, just west of Pony Express Parkway. Look for the signs. There is lots of parking at the patch, and more pumpkins are brought in daily from their other fields.

Opening Day: Oct. 1st

2847 Saddle Rock Road

Unlike some other places, there are no pony rides, no petting zoo. But what you will find there is a lot of pumpkins and a warm feeling in you and your children’s hearts as you do something for others that they cannot do for themselves.

ARE YOU IN THE TOP 3? Please be aware of the top HOA violations occurring in the Ranches community:

1) Yard Maintenance 2) Garbage can storage 3) Trailer/Boat/Camper storage Guidelines are in place to make sure our community looks great! September is a great month to get your yard prepped and ready for the winter hibernating months. Garbage cans need to be stored in the garage or behind an approved 6’ privacy fence, or 1 foot back on the side of the home. If you are going to have your trailer out for loading or unloading from a trip, please call the HOA office prior, so we can note these in the system, and not send a notice.

End of Season Coming Soon!

Time is rapidly approaching…the end of the landscaping season will be here soon! Please work on those landscaping and fencing projects that need completion.

Our August Winners are:

Submit your nomination to the management company or via the website at rancheshoa.com click on “Yard of the Month Nomination.” Winners must be current on their dues and have no open violations.
