Time: Please note that the opposing Captain MUST countersign this form to acknowledge that the protesting team have a grievance and that the match will be played under protest, he / she CANNOT refuse to do so. The opposing Captain has the opportunity to state their opinion regarding this grievance on the form in the space provided. The end of each statement from each captain MUST be initialled to note its conclusion. The completion of a Playing Under Protest form only allows an institution the right to appeal at the conclusion of the fixture as they have not accepted the conditions of the match, it does not guarantee the outcome of any subsequent appeal. This form should ONLY be submitted to BUCS should an Initial Appeal to the outcome of the fixture be made.
What if there’s a problem at the fixture? If you think there’s a problem at your fixture – let your BUCS Co-ordinator know as soon as possible! • If you believe a BUCS rule is being broken, contact Student Activities: 01785 353558 or 01782 294687 or mobile 07732 224472 • Complete Playing Under Protest form before the second half starts: if you have forgotten the form, get it in writing with signatures! • The opposition cannot refuse to sign the form – it is an acknowledgement of the form, not an admission of guilt. • Return the form to your co-ordinator by 10am the next day. • We will then contact the opposition co-ordinator and try to resolve the situation without BUCS Head Office involvement. • Only if the regulation has affected the outcome of the match will the protest go ahead.
