Dear Customer, Congratulations on the purchase of your Sienna Q Steam Mop. The new Sienna Q Steam Mop is an excellent addition to your household equipment. You can use it as a regular steam cleaner, or as a handheld appliance. It utilizes the power of steam to clean without the use of chemicals or strenuous scrubbing. It can be used to clean your tiles, PVC flooring, sealed hardwood floors, marble, and carpet and works just as well with the carpet glider soft mop cover. It removes stubborn stains, such as grease, soot, and dried soap, mold and counteracts unpleasant odors. It can also be used to disinfect surfaces if held in place for eight (8) seconds. We are certain you will be pleased with this product. Please read the instructions through carefully before using this appliance for the first time, and then store them somewhere safe. Please keep the instructions with the appliance if you give the appliance to another person. The manufacturer and importer accept no liability if the user fails to comply with the contents of these instructions. Safety instructions Always adhere to the following instructions when using this electrical appliance. ! Read all of the instructions through before using the appliance. ! Attention! RISK OF FIRE! If left unattended and on for extended periods, there is a risk of fire. Always turn off the product when not in use. ! Store this appliance out of the reach of children. ! Instead seek assistance form your nearest customer service centre / qualified technician. Opening the appliance improperly brings a significant risk of death due to electric shock! ! Do not expose the steam cleaner to extreme sunlight or frost. Never expose the steam cleaner to the weather or the outdoors. ! Make sure the technical specifications listed here match those of your household electricity supply. This appliance is only suited for use with a 110 V alternating current, 60 Hz. Never alter or attempt to change the appliance plug. ! Never sit or stand on the appliance. ! Turn the appliance off as soon as it ceases to produce steam. ! Never leave the appliance on when the water tank is empty. ! Only clean the appliance after unplugging it and allowing it to cool down. ! If the power supply cable is defective, it must be replaced by either the manufacturer or a qualified technician (electrician) in order to avoid the risk of an electric shock. ! Never carry the appliance or pull it by its power supply cable, and handle the cable with care at all times. Avoid shutting the cable in doors, pulling it across sharp edges or around sharp corners. Never place the cable in close proximity to hot objects. ! Do not use cable extensions which do not conform with the requirements of the appliance. This appliance requires a heavy duty properly shielded grounded cable. ! Always remove the electrical plug from the socket once you have finished using the appliance. Do not pull on the cable when doing so, but instead apply pressure to the plug housing when unplugging. ! Always unplug the appliance before installing or replacing the floor cleaning cloth! The cleaning cloth may remain very hot after use. Wait for the appliance to cool for a few minutes before replacing the cloth. ! Ensure that you do not have wet hands when switching the appliance on and when using it. Always wear shoes when using the steam cleaner. ! Never place anything in the appliance orifices / nozzles and ensure that these do not become blocked. ! Store the device in a cool, dry room.

! Always work in sufficient lighting. ! Never add cleaning fluids or additives to the appliance tank. These may damage the appliance, cause malfunctions, and will void the warranty. ! Always work in accordance with the user instructions. Only use original replacement parts produced by the manufacturer. ! This appliance must be electrically grounded. Only use the plug supplied with the appliance and do not attempt to bypass the ground or remove it. ! In the case of surfaces which have been treated with wax, it is possible that the wax may be removed due to the application of heat and steam. ! Never fill the appliance with water which exceeds the maximum fill line. When filling the appliance, always add plain or distilled warm water. Other fluids may damage the appliance. Never turn on the steam cleaner without first filling with water. ! Switch the steam cleaner off and disconnect the plug from the wall socket as soon as the water in the tank is depleted. Allow the appliance to cool for at lease five minutes before refilling the tank with plain or distilled warm water. ! Never open the lock on the water tank while the appliance is turned on or plugged in to the wall socket. ! Attention! The large triangular cleaning foot should be kept level with the floor when using or carrying the appliance. It should not be held upward at an angle (maximum 5 degrees), or hot water will spray out! ! Store the appliance only after it has cooled down completely. ! Do not use the steam cleaner if the cable or plug are damaged, or if any other damage to the appliance is apparent, and keep the cable and hoses away from hot surfaces. ! Only remove the electrical plug from the socket with dry hands. ! Switch the appliance off and disconnect the plug from the power supply when taking a break from use. ! Do not touch the underside of the appliance when it is operational and for several minutes after it has been allowed to cool. Do not use the appliance to clean any glass surfaces as the temperature difference may cause glass to fracture. ! Once the appliance has been switched off it will continue to create hot steam for approximately one more minute! ! Attention: The steam should not be aimed directly at any equipment which contain electrical parts (e.g. interior oven compartments, refrigerators, switches and lights, microwave ovens, television, stereos, computers and other electronics, etc.) ! Always test the cleaning performance of the appliance on a small area before general use, e.g. to ensure that it does not affect the color of a carpet, etc. If you comply with these instructions, you should be able to enjoy using your new appliance for many years!

Assembly and operation of Q Steam Mop Assembly: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay these carefully on a level floor surface. Please place a protective cover beneath the parts in order to avoid any damage to delicate floors. 1. Push the extension pole sections into one another following the matching stickers. The upper extension pole - A - inserts into the extension hand grip A, and so forth. Then, push the entire pole assembly into the grip labeled D, making sure that it audibly clicks into place. You can then remove all of the stickers as desired.

2. When storing the appliance, wind the power supply cable around the two brackets at the upper and lower ends of the pole.

3. Place the cleaning foot in the cleaning cloth (14) and pull the cloth over the dome of the steam head. 4. Tighten the cloth in place by pulling on the drawstring loop and simultaneously drawing the knob closer to the steam head. *To clean carpets simply place the carpet glider ring (15) over the cleaning cloth. Filling with water 5. Unscrew the safety lock on the water tank, by turning counterclockwise. Then place the funnel in the opening and fill with a maximum 400 ml of warm plain or distilled water (to avoid a build up of lime scale), using the measuring beaker. Now screw the lock closed again turning clockwise until a tight fit is achieved. WARNING: This unit is under pressure and the locking cap must be securely in position before use.

Always switch the appliance off and remove the electrical plug from the wall socket before filling with water. Please wait for at least five minutes for the appliance to completely cool before refilling the water tank in the cleaning foot. Make sure that the tank is empty before refilling. The red indicator light will shine when the tank is empty. Fill the water tank with a maximum 400 ml. Please do not add cleaning fluids, scented additives or any other chemical substance to the water tank as this will damage the appliance and void the warranty. 09

Operation 7. Plug the appliance into an electrical socket (110V, 60Hz). Place the appliance on the heat-up/cool down pad provided. Turn the on /off switch to ON. The green display light should illuminate. Wait for three (3) minutes, after which the appliance should begin to Produce steam. Always stay with the steam cleaner while you Are waiting for steam production to begin. Note: If you leave the steam cleaner in one place on the floor for longer than a few minutes, a white residue may appear on flooring. This white residue can be removed using a de-scaling agent or household vinegar. See also troubleshooting. 8. Once the steamer begins to produce steam, glide it slowly across the surfaces requiring cleaning. We recommend that you use a brush or vacuum cleaner on the floor before steam cleaning to pick up dirt and debris. In order to disinfect a specific area, leave the steamer in one position for a minimum of 8 seconds. (Do not do this on laminate or parquet flooring as this could damage the flooring). The steam will o Reach a maximum temperature of 100 C. 9. In order to use the steamer as a handheld cleaner, press down on the button on the topside of the hand grip to release the extension pole and remove the pole assembly. Then rotate the hand grip 180 degrees counterclockwise. With the finger grips now facing downward, lift the handle upwards along the slot until you hear an audible click and it locks in place. You can now use the Steamer as a handheld cleaner. When using the appliance in this manner, wait a minimum 4-5 minutes to ensure that the water is sufficiently hot and does not drip out of the appliance. When using the appliance with the lower hand grip you should take particular care to ensure that the steamer is held level with the floor and never at an angle of greater than 45 degrees in relation to the floor.

Attention: Never operate the steam cleaner without water. Never aim the steam towards people or animals. The cleaning cloth may remain very hot for a short while after cleaning. If you want to remove it, first allow the appliance to cool for a few minutes. Place the appliance on the heat-up/cool down pad provided. 10. A full tank of 400 ml water is sufficient for approximately 15 minutes of cleaning. If the water tank is empty, the red filler display light will be illuminated. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket. To refill the water tank, follow the Filling with water directions on page 9 of these instructions. Avoid contact with hot surfaces of the steamer while filling the tank. The cleaning foot and cleaning cloth may be very hot. 11. After closing the tank, the appliance is ready for use again. After every use, rinse the cleaning cloth under running water and set it out to dry. The cloth is composed of micro-fiber (30% polyamid / 70% polyester) and should not be placed in a dryer as it could shrink. Always switch the appliance off before you replace the cleaning cloth or empty the water tank. Be careful not to touch hot parts even after the appliance has been turned off and unplugged. Place the appliance on the heat-up/cool down pad provided.

Avoiding damage: ! Never aim the steam jet at one area for more than three minutes. ! Always use the floor cleaning cloth when cleaning. ! The Sienna Q Steam Mop is not suitable for use on unsealed wooden floors, soft plastics and wooden furniture. ! The steam cleaner should not be used on glass because the hot steam may cause the glass to fracture. ! If you are unsure as to whether your floor covering is suitable for cleaning with the steam cleaner first consult a qualified technician or check with the flooring manufacturer. ! Always test the steam cleaner on a small remote area first. ! When cleaning rugs and carpets always check them for colorfastness first.

Troubleshooting Problem

Possible Solutions

The steam cleaner will not turn on when activated. The green operation light does not illuminate.

Check that the electrical plug has been plugged into the wall socket correctly. Switch the appliance on correctly and see that the display light is illuminated. Test the wall socket to ensure that it is functioning normally. Use an alternate wall socket.

The steam cleaner does not produce steam.

See if the water tank red light is illuminated. Check that the water tank has been filled correctly. Check that the appliance is turned on. Allow the steamer to cool down on the pad provided and restart.

Light residue marks have appeared on the floor.

The steam cleaner was held in one position for too long. You will be able to remove the marks using a vinegar cleaner or a de-scaling agent. Alternately heat the area for one (1) minute and then apply the cleaner to remove the marks.

The hand grip does not click into position when using as a handheld appliance.

Check for debris inside the slot where the handle sits. Keep the steamer handle, head and pedal free from debris.

The steamer drips, sputters or sprays excessive water.

Turn off the appliance and allow to cool. Make sure a cloth cover is in place. Check to see the cloth cover is not saturated. If so, change to a dry cover.

The steamer is making scratch marks on the floor.

Turn off the appliance and allow to cool. Check that the glider ring is properly seated over the cloth cover. Check the cloth cover for solid debris that could cause scratching. Remove, wash and replace the cloth cover.

General Storing Q Steam Mop: After use, switch off the appliance and unplug the plug from the wall socket. Allow the steam cleaner to cool down before empting the water tank. Wind the power cable around the cable brackets on the appliance and then store it in a cool, dry place.

Laminate / parquet wooden floors: Please note that the Sienna Q Steam Mop is also suitable for cleaning laminate and parquet floors provided you follow the instructions below: 1. The laminate/parquet floor must be laid correctly and no gaps or cracks should be evident, through which water or steam may penetrate. 2. Initially test the steam cleaner on one discreet area and subsequently check to see whether any ripples have formed or damp impressions have appeared. 3. If the surface does not show any trace of damage then appliance may be used to clean the entire laminate or parquet floor. Carpets: 1. In order to clean carpets simply place the carpet glider ring (parts list #15) over the cleaning cloth. 2. First test on one discreet area of the carpet for colorfastness, before cleaning the entire area. Using the backsaver feature to reach under furniture: As you push the steamer to reach underneath furniture, press the backsaver release button on the extension handle grip. The steamer pole assembly should bend in the middle and allow you to continue cleaning underneath items. To restraighten the pole assembly, make sure you release the button and allow the pole to straighten up and lock itself back into position.

Maintenance and cleaning: You can wash the floor cleaning cloth in the washing machine. Unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance work. Always remove the plug from the socket by applying pressure to the plug housing itself, rather than the power cable. Never immerse this electronic appliance in water. The outside of the steam cleaner should always be cleaned using a suitable damp, cleaning cloth. Only use a mild soap when cleaning and never use any abrasive agents. Never attempt clean or insert anything into the water tank other than water. to flush the water tank fill the cooled appliance with water, swish the water around and turn the cleaning head upside down over a sink to drain. Repeat if sediment is present until the water draining runs clear.

Service: To ensure safety, check this appliance regularly for damage and wear. Please note that the floor cleaning cloth supplied will deteriorate after several uses. This is normal and not covered under warranty. You can order additional replacement floor cleaning cloths and other accessory parts from our customer service center. If your appliance should fails to operate at any time, become damaged in any way or require replacement parts, please contact our customer service center. For safety, do not carry out any repairs yourself. Replace defective parts immediately. Do not use this appliance if damaged or defective. We hope that you enjoy your new Sienna Q Steam Mop.

This product is warranted by the manufacturer to be free from all defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. Warranty Exclusions: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of parts and does not apply to any product that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligent handling or damage due to mishandling in transit or shipping. This warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by or resulting from repairs, service or alterations to the product or any of its parts, which have been performed by a repair person not authorized by the manufacturer. This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA or Canada, and does not extend to any units which have been used in violation of written instructions furnished by the manufacturer, or to units which have had the serial number removed, altered, defaced or rendered illegible. Warranty Performance: During the limited warranty period, the manufacturer will, at its option, repair or replace free of charge a defective product or part that is covered by this warranty. Customer Service will give you further instructions for returning a defective product for repair or replacement. When returning a defective product, carefully pack the item to avoid damage in shipping, the manufacturer cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage during incoming shipment. We recommend that you insure the package, as damage in shipping including the shipping cost is not covered by this warranty. Be sure to include the following items with your product: any accessories related to the problem; your name, complete address and phone number; a note describing the problem you experienced; and a copy of your sales slip or other proof of purchase to determine warranty status. C.O.D. shipments cannot be accepted. Out-of-Warranty Service: A flat rate charge by model is made for Out-ofWarranty service. Please contact our Customer Service for a flat rate.
