Fall Kick Off!
Prize Money.
We are so excited for a new year of Calvary Kids at Calvary Gospel Church. This newsletter is for parents/guardians of children in Junior Kindergarten – Grade 5. This is the age range of Calvary Kids. Calvary Kids is the children’s program run downstairs every Sunday at Calvary Gospel Church. Children participate in singing, a lesson, and small group discussion and activities based th on age. As of September 10 , 2017 our classroom breakdown is:
Students can earn prize money each week at Calvary Kids and at Charge (Wednesday evenings). This reward system is meant to encourage students to come each week and learn their memory verse, bring their bible etc. Students can spend their money on Wednesday evenings and/or on one designated Sunday per month. Please review how your children can earn prize money with them as we begin a new season.
Age JK-Grade 1 and Grades 2-5.
Bring Bible = 10 prize dollars
Sunday Morning Format
Memory Verse = 10 prize dollars
Important Parent Reminders You have recently received new Calvary Kids registration forms in your mailboxes. Please fill them out and return them to Melissa Davies or Jessica Martin asap. If you are new please grab a registration form for your children from the Welcome desk. You will also be receiving a sheet with the Memory verses for the fall. Please note we will begin in this in October! Please help your children memorize the verse each week. Perhaps make it your families verse and work on it together? Memorizing scripture is so important and I believe our little ones can surprise us with their abilities here. God wants us to store His words in our hearts. Please help us by practicing at home. Check out Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 3:16 and Jeremiah 15:16 for encouragement!
Bring Friend = 20 prize dollars Kindness = 5 prize dollars We also choose a “Student of the Week” each Sunday during large group worship and the bible lesson. The “Student of the Week” is a student who is singing, listening to the lesson quietly, answering tough questions, asking good questions and volunteering to help with demonstrations. They get to choose a prize from the Treasure Chest or can opt to receive 5 dollars prize money.
Fall Lessons We are finishing up our current curriculum: Generations of Grace. In September and October we will be studying from the books of Ezra, Esther and Nehemiah. We are excited to announce that we will be beginning a new curriculum, The Gospel Project, in October.
10:15-10:45: Children are signed in by their parents at the upstairs Calvary Kids Welcome desk and go to the service with their family. 10:45-11:20: Children are dismissed from the service and go to the lower auditorium for singing and the Bible lesson. 11:20-11:45: Discussion, memory verses, activities and crafts in small groups/classrooms based on lesson.

The Big Picture of God's Story The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
