Rabbi Joe Wolfson Rabbi Joe Wolfson is a rabbi and Jewish educator, originally from the UK and now lives in Israel. He received his Semikha (rabbinic ordination) from Rav Zalman Nehemia Goldberg in 2013 and is currently working towards the qualification of the Israeli Chief Rabbinate at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush), where he is a member of the Kollel Halakha. With an academic background in political philosophy, Rabbi Wolfson has degrees from Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and University College London’s School of Public Policy. He also spent a year studying in the interdisciplinary bet midrash of Beit Morasha. In the past, he has worked and taught in Sydney, New York, and throughout the UK and Israel. He is on the faculty of London School of Jewish Studies where he continues to teach when in London. In parallel with his studies, he has taught many individuals and groups, ages 13 – 54, across the world online over the last few years. In September 2015, he became the Orthodox campus rabbi at NYU where he is also the director of the NYU Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (OU).
