Any swimmer that has not met the two meet requirement must have their coach submit swimmer(s) name(s) to the committee. Request for exception must be sent to the committee at the time entries are submitted and a copy to the Nan Long. The swimmer must be approved by the committee prior to the meet. If not approved they may swim in the meet as exhibition only. Swimmers with disabilities need to submit the form below to the committee and sent to Nan Long at the time entries are submitted. Please contact any committee member with any question or conflicts.

The University of the South Sewanee Natatorium Pool 77 Texas Avenue Sewanee, TN 37383 (931) 598-1546 The facility includes a 25-meter pool with 9 lanes and an automatic timing system (touch pads at one end of pool and back-up buttons). NO STARTING BLOCKS.
RULES:
USA rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless otherwise noted by the RACE League Rules.
TEAMS:
Athens, Fayetteville, Lawrenceburg, Lewisburg, Manchester, McMinnville, Sewanee, Shelbyville, Tullahoma and Winchester.
WARM-UPS:
Morning Session (10 & under) starts with warm-ups at 8:00 AM Meet Starts 10:00 AM 8:00-8:30: Sewanee 8:30-8:55: Manchester, Winchester, and Tullahoma 9:00-9:25: Fayetteville, Shelbyville and McMinnville 9:30-9:55: Athens, Lewisburg, and Lawrenceburg
Afternoon Session
$4.00 per swimmer for each individual event and $10.50 per team for each relay entered. All entry fees are non-refundable. Checks should be made out to Sewanee TigerSharks. Swimmers will not be allowed in the water until fees are paid and signed waiver form is received.

Race League Championship
There is a maximum of 5 entries per swimmer up to three (3) individual events and two (2) relay events. All entry times must be from a standard 25-meter pool (a yard to meter conversion can be done for yard pools). Swimmers can swim-up for RELAYS ONLY, but cannot swim the same relay in two (2) different age groups (i.e. a 10 year old can swim-up in an 11-12 free relay but cannot swim in the 9-10 free relay), only one (1) relay per age group per event may enter. There will be “NO” parent/swimmer relay because of insurance. When submitting times directly from Hy-Tek’s team manager program, please be certain all “best times” submitted are from AN OFFICIAL LENGTH POOL (converted to 25m times if necessary) from the summer 2016 season in pools where starting blocks are not used. Once your entries are sent to the Meet Director and are in the meet, a meet summary report will be emailed for proofing, review and if corrections are needed please email correction to Nan Long. Scratches will be accepted throughout the course of the meet. Once the psych sheet is published if a swimmer(s) is added or changed in an event(s) that swimmer(s) will be an exhibition swimmer(s) in that event(s).
DEADLINE:
Entries are due by Friday July 8th, by 12 noon. Email to: Secretary Gene Shreve: [email protected], Hy-tek team manager files only. Once Gene receives all entries from all teams he will then send them out to the RACE League contact list: RACE League Master email list from the RACE League website.
Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and we encourage use of the enclosed form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with the entries.
LATE ENTRIES:
Late entries will be accepted for available lanes only until Friday, July 15, until 10:00 AM. No new heats will be formed. Swimmer(s) will be an exhibition swimmer.

Race League Championship
SEEDING:
The meet will be seeded based on entry times in meters from the summer season 2016. The meet will be scored according to final times. Heats are slowest to fastest and NT (no time) entries will be in the first (slowest) heat.
AWARDS:
Individual events will be awarded medals for places 1st- 8th and ribbons for places 9th-16th. Relays will be given medals for places 1st-10th. Team trophies are given out to 1st-10th place. High point awards will be awarded to each top girl and boy in each age group: 6 & under, 7-8, 9-10, 1112, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18. Heat winner ribbons will be awarded for all but the fastest seeded heat. Exhibition swimmers will not receive any awards.
SCORING:
Individual Events: 1st-20pts, 2nd-17pts, 3rd-16pts, 4th-15pts, 5th14pts, 6th-13pts, 7th-12pts, 8th-11pts, 9th-9pts, 10th-7pts, 11th-6pts, 12th- 5pts, 13th-4pts, 14th-3pts, 15th-2pts, 16th-1pt.
Each team is to supply (2) timers for one lane for the duration of the meet. Other personal: ribbon person/team (Please be sure to supply a container for the team awards), clerk-of-course (age-group parents), and stroke-and-turn-judge or place judge (Only USA certified officials or those who attended a stroke & turn clinic this 2016 summer will be allowed to be a stroke & turn judge during the championship meet).
RESULTS:

NOTE:
At the commencement of each heat, the Referee shall signal to the swimmers by a short series of whistles to remove all clothing except for swimwear, followed by a long whistle indicating that they should take and maintain their positions on the deck or in the water. In backstroke and medley relay events, at the Referee’s first long whistle the swimmers shall immediately enter the water and at the second long whistle shall return without undue delay to the starting position. There will be NO FALSE STARTS CALLED BACK. The swimmer(s) that are judged to have left early will be disqualified (DQ) at the race’s conclusion.

Heat sheets will be available for purchase. Concession stand will be available. No food or drink on deck! First Place Athletics will be at the meet to sell goggles, suits, and swim equipment. Innovations will be at the meet to sell Race League Championship t-shirts.
OTHER REQUESTS: Warm-up & warm-down lanes are for that purpose. If the posted lifeguard sees swimmer(s) playing, they will be asked to leave the pool. We will run a clerk-of-course for all teams in the morning 10& under session. We will also run a clerk-of-course in the afternoon only for 11-12 year olds. Please make sure your swimmers report for each event to ensure the meet runs smoothly. This will be announced on the P. A. gym.

We will not delay the meet for a swimmer that is not in the clerkof-course area (12 & under) or an older swimmer who doesn’t report to the correct lane and heat. Help us help the swimmers and please listen for the calls to each event.
