Rain tent Babboe City - Manual for mounting Congratulations on your new rain tent for your Babboe City cargo bike! Below you will find the instruction manual for the rain tent. To dismount the tent, follow the steps in the reverse order.
Step 1. Attaching the side bars to the box Use the provided sidebars to attach the tent properly. Unscrew the central nuts and bolts at the sides of the box. Attach the sidebars with these nuts and bolts, leaving the shims out.
Step 2. Mounting the poles to the box Mounting the poles to the carrier is simple, however, it should happen in the following order: 1. 2. 3. 4.
First, place the poles on the side of the handlebar (green sticker BACK) into the slots on the side of the handlebar up to wider section of the poles. Then insert the central extension in the poles on the side of the handlebar Place the poles for the front (red sticker FRONT) in the central extension Place the poles for the front side into the slots. This creates the necessary tension on the poles, ensuring a secure structure
Step 3. Attaching the canvas The order of assembly is essential for an optimum fit: 1. 2. 3. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Unfold the tent and unzip the left and right zip of one side window Place the canvas over the poles: the long side with reflection on the sides and the short side with Velcro (for the handlebar) at the side of the handlebar Pull the canvas downwards. Make sure the poles are correctly inserted in the sleeves of the canvas Close the left zip of the window first and then the right zip Feed the ends of the tie down straps through the corners and tighten slightly Is the tent in place? Tighten all tie down straps so the tent is secure Feed the ends of the tie down straps through the lip so they won’t flap around in the wind
Step 4. Opening the windows The side windows and the window at the side of the handlebar can be opened in various ways:
Open the window entirely and place it on the roof to allow children to get in. This way the window is secured with Velcro. Close the window before cycling away. Would you like to cycle with open windows? Fold the window up carefully and secure it on the inside of the roof. There is a special ‘storage compartment’ here. Close the compartment using the Babboe Velcro label (see pictures below).
TIP! A sunroof is also available for use in combination with the poles of the rain tent.
