RAMONA PONY BASEBALL  Cake & Cap Night Fundraising Event 2018  Dear Parents:  The continued success of Ramona PONY Baseball over the years has been due in large part to the generosity of its  volunteers and strong fundraising initiatives.  Ramona PONY Baseball is holding our annual Cake & Cap Night this year and it is our primary fundraising event.  Unlike  many fields and leagues across the nation, our organization is not financed by city or county funds. Every dollar we  spend on field maintenance, uniforms, umpires and utilities are all paid for by registration fees, sponsors, and the  donations we receive through fundraising.  We are actively asking each of our players to help us in this fundraising event  so that we may continue to keep fees to participate low, ensuring we can continue to offer opportunities to play  baseball, now and in the future.  Our goal is for every player to raise a minimum of $50 in donations to bring to Cake &  Cap night on February 2nd at Olive Pierce Middle School Performing Arts Center (PAC). Exact times will be announced soon.  One of the most successful methods for getting donations is reaching out to local businesses and individuals who would  be interested in purchase one of our many sponsorship packages.  I’ve attached a copy of our sponsorship packages  along with a sponsor letter that can be handed out to businesses. Donations can be as little as $5 or as large as a  corporate sponsorship, every little bit helps.  Included in this letter is a pledge sheet for each player to track donations and bring with them to Cake & Cap night.  All  funds raised by a player and turned in on Cake & Cap night will count towards that individual player’s goal as well as be  presented to the manager of that player’s team.  For those new to Cake & Cap night, we have various cakes that can be  bid on by the team managers from the donations that are raised by the players, as well as the spontaneous donations  that happen that night, making it a very fun and exciting time for all.   There are also prizes for the most funds raised as  well as some new prizes and biddable items for this year.  Please have all checks made payable to Ramona Sports Association. Ramona Sports Association, dba Ramona PONY  Baseball is a registered tax exempt, non‐profit corporation per Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Tax  ID number is 95‐3782118.  Thank you for your willingness to help the players achieve their fundraising goals as well as your continued support of  Ramona PONY Baseball, and for committing to enhancing the children of our community through positive youth  activities. For additional information on our league please visit our website at: www.RamonaBaseball.com   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of our Board Members.  Sincerely,
