Drivers should remain in their car engine off while waiting, as idling cars are not permitted. Cars enter campus through the traditional entrance. Proceed straight across campus just beyond the Ranney Clock Tower to the pick-up zone at the Panther Hall entrance area. Students will be brought to the car by Ranney faculty and staff for loading.

Parent Walk-up to Pick-up Because all of Lower School is dismissing at 3:25, we strongly encourage pick-up in the carline rather than walking to the door of your family’s pick-up zone. LS students will be departing the building in the location of the youngest child in the family. To maintain accountability of our students, parents will need to walk outside to the proper waiting zone doors, so that the supervising teacher can accurately account for children leaving with a designated person. Children should never be pulled from the line as they head to their pick-up zone. Accommodations can be pre-arranged for special pick-up circumstances in advance.

LOWER SCHOOL PARENT PARKING Early Childhood Families are welcomed to park in the main lot in front of the Commons and the Annex. This parking lot is located just past the Early Childhood Education Center (Barn). Parking Lot B. Elementary Families (grades K-5) are welcomed to park in the lot located directly behind the Margaret Mahon Building and in front of the LSAC Building. Make your first left before the Margaret Mahon Building to enter this lot. ALL cars entering campus must have their parking tag visible. Cars without tags will not be permitted on campus until visit purpose is verified and a license check is completed by security. Please also have the Blue Ranney Name Card visible on the passenger side visor or windshield so that teachers announcing names can easily see it. Please display cards all year so that all teachers who may not be familiar with your family can assist with pick-up. This is also helpful when we have substitute teachers assisting. Guests during afternoon pick up WILL NOT be permitted to enter building or take students home without proper documentation and written notice from home.

BUS STUDENTS

Lower School bus students are dropped off at the porch of the Early Childhood Center in the morning. They will be greeted by Ranney faculty and directed to their appropriate grade level areas. Bus students are gathered and escorted to the bus zone by Ranney teachers in the afternoon. It is important for bus students to be able to provide their full name, grade, teacher name, and a parent phone number in case it is needed while being transported.
