Additional Considerations: 

For conferences: o High Priority is given when student is a speaker or presenter of unique research conducted whiles a student at Washington State University. o Priority is given to students who are elected members of professional organizations (SCAVMA/PPSO president, vice president, House of Delegates) who are representing the students of Washington State University at (1) national, (2) regional, (3) State. (priority given in descending order) o Students should be afforded the opportunity to attend one national professional conference while a student at Washington State University. Unless funds are available multiple conference attendances should not be sponsored by GPSA.

For externships: o Priority should be given to competitive appointments, or invitations from organizations. o Priority should be given to unpaid internships over paid internships as paid internships have the ability to offset the cost of travel. For internships: o students should be restricted to one award per grant cycle. Unless extra funds are available multiple trips per grant period should not be entertained.
