INTRODUCTION If the screen of the device becomes cracked or stops registering touch commands, use the following guide to replace the screen.
TOOLS: Tweezers (1) iFixit Opening Tools (1) iOpener (1) Suction Handle (1) Phillips #00 Screwdriver (1)

Step 1 — Screen
Remove two 2.4mm x 4mm screws from bottom of the tablet with Phillips #00 Screwdriver.
Step 2
Remove back cover with plastic opening tool, exposing the battery and motherboard.

Step 3
Using the tweezers, remove the black tape connecting the screen to the motherboard.
Step 4
Pull up the switch to remove the input connector.

Step 5
Heat the iOpener in the microwave, following the instructions provided with the tool. Lay the heated iOpener on the front screen for two minutes to soften the connection of the screen to the tablet.
Step 6
Use the suction cup and plastic opening tool to pry the front screen from the tablet.
