Ted, Thanks for updating me on the changes in responsibility at the ARO, I’ll inform others within Duke Energy. Chuck Campbell (Duke Energy) will be sampling the Cliffside ash basin monitoring wells on December 9-10, starting at approximately 6:30 a.m. on December 9th. Chuck will be performing all the sampling by himself so probably only one person from the ARO is needed. If you want to contact Chuck once you’re on site, his cell phone number is (704) 400-2045. When you arrive at Cliffside, please tell security to notify Steve Hodges, who is the site environmental coordinator. Steve’s cell phone number is (704) 363-0819.
We’re working to get an updated digital map of the well locations and I’ll send that to you as soon as it is completed. If I can be of additional assistance, please let me know. Allen Stowe Water & Natural Resources Duke Energy 704-382-4309 (Office) 704-516-5548 (Cell)

Allen, Due to changes in staff assignments I have assumed the Cliffside groundwater compliance oversight responsibilities (along with my supervisor Landon Davidson) for the Asheville Regional Office (ARO). Please let Duke or your contractor staff know of the change. ARO would like to conduct split sampling at the facility at the upcoming December well sampling event. Please let me know who I should speak with to coordinate schedules. Also, to ensure our files are up to date, please provide an updated digital map with the well locations as installed (the previous map showed the proposed locations). Please make sure that the map includes topographic contours, compliance wells, and voluntary wells on a single map. Thanks in advance and I look forward to working with you and Duke Energy.
