Aikin students celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with ‘Read Across America’ day National Education Association’s (NEA’s) Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2—Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Aikin students and staff celebrated with a variety of activities.

Sandy Lamb's first grade students completed a STEM activity by reading a story about a maze, and then building a maze.
Author Chester Drawers, from Branson, Missouri, presented an assembly to kindergarten, first, and second grade students about the importance of reading.
