Join us for a night of fun and relaxed science conversation with a local scientist! Here’s this month’s topic:
With nearly 75-80% of the world predicted to live in urban areas within the next few decades, urban “heat islands”
are of increasing concern-- but what are they and how can we help? And as cities grow in both size and population,
we should expect even larger environmental impacts, especially on temperature and rainfall. So what do we do? Paint city roofs white? Plant more trees? Or something else? Join us at the October Science Café to find out!
