NORTHWESTERN MEN’S BASKETBALL 2017-18 Hello Red Raider Men Basketball Alumni! Thanks to all of you who helped us start a new Alumni tradition last year. It was a lot of fun and we would like to invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual Alumni Men’s Basketball Tournament. This year it will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. We will make an effort to put alums on a team with teammates from your era and will play 15 minute games. We will do our best to provide officials or we will ask alums who are not playing in a game to ref where needed. The teams will consist of alum teams and some teams with current Northwestern players. It is our goal to make this a weekend to reconnect the past and the present Red Raider Basketball Players. We would love to have you join us! This will be held during Homecoming Weekend at Northwestern College so there will be a lot to do. We thought it would be fun to “get the guys together” to play some ball and hopefully allow your family members to enjoy a Saturday at Northwestern as well. Below you will find a general flow for the day: 8:45 am Devotions & tournament instructions 9:00 am 2nd Annual Alumni and Present Player Tournament 10:00 am Morning on the Green – on the Green Space or in the RSC 12:00 pm Lunch on the Green Space or in the RSC 1:30 pm Football Game with Northwestern hosting Morningside Please contact your teammates and invite them to join you on Saturday, September 30 in the Bultman Center. [email protected] if you do indeed plan to attend and participate. Once we know the number of people who sign up / show up, we will organize the tournament. If drop-ins show up on Saturday morning, we will get them on a team. However, the sooner you can let us know if you plan to attend the better. We will plan to meet in the Bultman Center between 8:15 – 8:45 am to get everyone registered, organized, and warmed up. Following some short devotions and a few tournament instructions at 8:45 am, we will get started with the tournament at 9:00 am. We hope to have things come to a close around noon so everyone can clean up, have lunch with family and friends, and enjoy the rest of the day. It will be great to see you!
