The directory, which also highlights the test and research facilities available across the region, will be widely distributed to technology developers, investors, international businesses and offshore energy developers to promote the south west.

Green energy and the arts
Regen SW’s Poet in Residence – Matt Harvey Regen SW is pleased to be working with Matt Harvey to develop a series of poems in response to sustainable energy. The first in the series of poems ‘The Shock of the New’, which is about a solar farm, was premiered at the South West Green Energy Awards in November 2012.
Ground-breaking projects Regen runs ground-breaking projects that show what can be achieved, overcoming barriers in diverse areas such as marine renewables and engaging communities. We are looking for partners that share our vision and want to be associated with supporting these initiatives.
“The movement of communityowned renewable energy schemes across the south west is an exciting development and one that we are keen to support in partnership with Regen SW” Poet, broadcaster, enemy of all that’s difficult and upsetting, Matt’s way with words has taken him from Totnes to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club via Radio 4’s Saturday Live, the Edinburgh Festival and the Work section of the Guardian. He is the creator of Empath Man – the contemporary superhero who fights crime through his advanced listening skills – and author of The Hole in the Sum of my Parts and Where Earwigs Dare. Matt hosts his own show Wondermentalist on Radio 4 where he regularly crowd-sources poems from the audience, to their
collective amazement. Commissioners of his own work include the Open University, the Science Museum, the Energy Ombudsman and the Waste and Resources Action Project (WRAP). Song cycles with composers Stephen Deazley (Songbook of Unsingable Songs, A Little Book of Monsters) and Thomas Hewitt Jones (The Same Flame) have proved enormously popular and his kids’ book, Shopping With Dad (illus. Miriam Latimer) has been translated into several languages and made into a film by CBBC.
