Events and membership sales advisor

Salary Range:

Administrator; grades 1 – 4, dependant on experience (£12,500 – £19,999)

Organisation Regen SW is an entrepreneurial, not-for-profit, mission led organisation. We are seeking highly motivated team players with a passion for sustainable energy to help us deliver our mission in this way. We need people with a good degree of initiative, the flexibility to respond to the wide range of needs and opportunities generated in such an organisation and are looking for excellent commercial acumen and a commitment to quality delivery. Willingness to work unsocial hours and to travel as required is also essential. Role At the centre of our business is our events and membership team which is helping us to grow. We are looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic and intelligent person to join our team, who will communicate accurately and succinctly the benefits of Regen SW events and membership largely via the phone. This role is predominantly making sales and requires a driven approach by someone motivated by success and results. As part of a growing sector, we offer excellent opportunities for career progression. The role will require you to:  develop a high level of knowledge about our events, member benefits and programmes of work  deliver a high standard of communication to prospective members  liaise with other team members and external organisations to maximize your effectiveness  promote Regen SW and all aspects of its work

Principal Responsibilities Relationship management and business development Outbound sales activity  Selling Regen SW membership to new businesses predominantly by phone, following up by email and by letter  Following up ‘warm’ leads generated by team members by phone, email and letter to convert them into members  Recording details of all calls and leads on our Contact Relationship Management system

Communications, team work and administration Sales administration  Researching and qualifying leads  Database entry and management

Person specification (Specific to post) Qualifications and general skills:  Educated to degree level or equivalent  Good knowledge of administrative processes and systems  Good typing & IT skills  Experience in using CRM  Excellent ability to plan and organise own workload  Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion at all times Sales and communication skills  Adept at and motivated by sales  Excellent telephone manner  Takes pride in giving excellent service and following through on commitments  Conscientious with a keen attention to detail  Well-developed negotiating skills  Self-motivated and a team player  Articulate and able to communicate at a variety of levels

Team skills:  A good team worker  Ability to work constructively and co-operatively with other team members Personal qualities:  Creative problem solving skills  Commitment to sustainable energy and developing ‘greener’ approaches to office work  Good interpersonal skills  High degree of initiative and self-motivation  Flexible approach to work, with the ability to deal with a multitude of tasks simultaneously  Willingness to work occasional unsocial hours and to travel as required  Understanding of how government policy affects businesses

Benefits and term 25 days’ paid holiday a year pro rata increasing by a day each year to a maximum of 30 days per year plus public holidays
