REGISTER NOW FOR 2017! Blaze is a Youth Track & Field Club competing in AAU & USATF sanctioned track and field events, including the AAU & USATF National Junior Olympic Games. Boys & Girls ages 5 to 18, new athletes and veterans of all skill levels, learn to run faster, jump higher and throw farther with Blaze!! Register before April 15, 2017* Registration fee is $375. Register online (add’l convenience fee applies) or download a registration form from the website. Current sports physical and proof of age required for registration. * Registering after April 15th will cause delays in getting uniform!
Practice has already begun Practice during the school term for athletes not competing with school T&F programs: Thursdays, 4:00-5:00 pm (Contact Coach Holmes for practice locations and times.) Practice during the summer: Monday – Thursday, 6:00-8:00 pm (Due to the renovation of North DeKalb Stadium this year, practice location(s) for the summer are TBD.)
Compete May through August Meets are typically Saturday-Sunday, with late season qualifying meets running Thursday-Sunday. Competition season culminates with the AAU and USATF National Junior Olympic Games.
Sprints Middle Distance Long Distance Steeplechase Race Walk Hurdles High Jump Long Jump Triple Jump Discus Throw Javelin Throw Hammer Throw Mini Javelin Throw Shot Put Relays Triathlon Pentathlon Heptathlon Decathlon Pole Vault* (*Separate fees involved. Training through Pole Vault Atlanta.)
