REGISTERING A MOBILE NUMBER FOR NPP CRICKET WHEREABOUTS UPDATES One of the methods of sending urgent updates of cricket whereabouts activities to the ICC is via SMS. However, you can only do this if the mobile number which you intend to use has been registered with the ICC. If the mobile number you use is not registered with the ICC, your SMS updates will not be received.
HOW TO REGISTER A MOBILE NUMBER To register the mobile number that you will use to send urgent cricket whereabouts information updates via SMS you must do the following: Step 1 – E-mail ICC anti-doping (
[email protected]) requesting to register the mobile number. In the e-mail make sure to include the mobile number that is to be registered including country code. Players - this number should be the one: (i) that you usually travel with at all times; (ii) that you will always use to update urgent changes to whereabouts information; and (iii) that ICC anti-doping can contact you on if required. National Cricket Federations – this number should be the one that will always be used to send urgent updates to cricket whereabouts activities of players when they are with the international team only. Step 2 – After receiving the mobile number, ICC will initiate the registration process and you will receive the following automated SMS on your mobile: ICC-AntiDoping: Activation code xxxx. Go 2 www.ipipi.com and sign in with your username and pwd, enter xxxx to activate your mobile/account. Step 3 – Ignore the instructions in the SMS and instead, please send the activation code along with your name (player or NCF) to ICC anti-doping on e-mail (
[email protected]) within 72 hours of receiving the activation code. Do not go to the website specified and attempt to sign in and do not reply to the automated message received. Step 4 – The ICC anti-doping staff will then activate your number and confirm via SMS that the mobile number has been registered successfully. Step 5 – Once you have received the confirmation SMS from ICC you may use your registered number to send urgent cricket whereabouts updates to the ICC. Note – The only number you can use to update your whereabouts via SMS is +46737494565. You cannot reply to any SMS messages you receive from ICC, you must always start a new message and send it to +46737494565. Various methods of updating NPP Cricket Whereabouts Please refer to ‘NPP Cricket Whereabouts Updating Options – Player’ or ‘NPP Cricket Whereabouts Updating Options – NCF’, available on the anti-doping section of the ICC website (www.icc-cricket.com).
